Dr. Reddi’s academic career over the last seventeen years has been highly interdisciplinary; he has established fruitful collaborations with researchers from such diverse disciplines as Biology, Entomology, Agronomy, Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering; his current research relationships extend to investigators in the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, and Education. He has secured extramural funding from sponsors at all levels – federal (NSF, NASA, EPA), state and regional (KDoT, KCARE, etc), and local industries (SEPC, KLA, among others). A strong proponent of interdisciplinary research, and integrated research and education, Dr. Reddi authored/co-authored two textbooks on the interdisciplinary themes of geoenvironmental engineering and seepage in soils, edited/co-edited six books on other themes, authored/co-authored numerous technical articles in journals representing various disciplines in civil engineering, and is currently serving as the Director of Geoenvironmental Graduate Certificate Program. Winner of the Engineering Research Excellence Award and two-time recipient of the Central District James Robbins Teaching Award, Dr. Reddi is also a chapter honor member of Chi Epsilon, Eminent Engineer of Tau Beta Pi, and has recently been conferred the title, “Distinguished Alumnus,” by the Ohio State University’s College of Engineering. |
